The West 79th Street Funk Jazz Band provides corporate entertainment, wedding entertainment, and music entertainment for any private occasion. The band was formed in Leimert Park, California inspired by the Jazz greats who played in Central Ave., Los Angeles, with influences of Alternative Rock & Roll, 70s Funk, R&B and Classic Hip Hop of the 80s and 90s.

George has taken The West 79th Street Funk Jazz band to new heights alongside community involvement, and providing a customer service very few bands can accomplish. The West 79th Street Funk Jazz Band continues being relationship driven, innovative, and marketable to the clients needs. Since 2003 the West 79th Street Funk Jazz band music entertainment has played the most reputable venues in SoCal.
Born and raised in South Los Angeles, on 79th and Figeroa, George's humble
beginnings as a musician started at the age of seven, with a Yamaha keyboard he received from his mother on Christmas day. He flourished his musical attributes sitting in with local jazz bands in Liemert Park, South Los Angeles, and Inglewood, CA.
George was given an opportunity to tour internationally for the Youth for a United World representing the U.S. as a rap artist. In addition, as a percussionist, the CEO has participated in session recordings for up and coming indie musicians.
His resume also proceeds as a producer and freelance videographer for documentaries and short films previously working under NEO Art & Logic.
George has an extensive background in Online Marketing, Web Development and Business Development. He studied hand percussion in New York also pursuing his degree in Communications & Media Arts at Dutchess Community College. Presently, he has an MBA from the University Phoenix, and various certifications in online web marketing.
